Those of you who have already stayed in the barns/cottages at Belle  Grove will know that we built the house nearby. By ‘we’, I mean Nick  and Jo. Nick  project managed as well as personally laying on his hands, assisted by a cluch of stalwart Polish workers.

As many guests expressed as interest in the project we started  on-line up-dates  -   go to House Progress category. If you’re interested, it’s probably better to start at the beginning and come forward in chronological order-  you need to go right back to ‘Conception to Reality’.

The earlier part is dealt with in rough time chunks but , from July 2009, by monthly update.

NB    We had excellent news recently that the completed house is Overall Winner in The Daily Telegraph’s Homebuilding & Renovating  Magazine Awards 2011.  The project, featured in the January 2012 issue, was described as  ”brilliant in its process … but also brilliant in its execution.”  There is a 12 page article with photographs describing the completed house.  See www.homebuild.co.uk
